Corvus Cycles 2025 Akio Fat Bike

Previewed in our Sea Otter coverage this year at the Revelate booth, Corvus Cycles has announced its all-new Akio fat bike model ($4,299 complete) for 2025. The Akio represents a culmination of 17 years of knowledge in fat bike design. Let’s check it out…

Corvus Akio Quick Hits

  • Optimized from the ground up around 27.5″ wheels
  • Lower BB provides that “in, not on” the bike” feel
  • PF120 BB to best utilize the clearance for both tires and chainrings
  • Narrow Q factor, yet keeps 5” tire capability
  • In-frame storage under the down tube to keep weight from rarely needed items such as a spare tube as low as possible
  • Maximum standover height clearance, combined with a huge volume increase over the previous generation in the main triangle for frame bags – all of it low for the lowest possible center of gravity
  • Shorter axle-to-crown fork height to increase main triangle storage capacity, with multiple mount options.
  • Portage handle to easily lift the bike when using a frame bag
  • UDH for easy replacement of derailleur hanger, and SRAM Transmission capability
  • 180mm Post mount front & rear for maximum stopping power
  • Integrated rack & full frame bag mounting points for strapless bag attachment
  • Sleeved internal cable routing for ease of assembly and maintenance

Geometry

the Akio comes in 16, 18, and 20″ models, with reach varying from 430 mm to 468 mm. The head tube angle is 67.5º constant, as well as the 74.5º seat angles and 75 mm of bottom bracket drop.
