Means to Ascend
SAGE Titanium is happy to share a little film made in collaboration with Volkl skis — Means to Ascend follows pro cyclist Maxx Chance and pro skier Johnny Egan as they strap touring skis to their SAGE Titanium gravel bikes and attempt to summit Mount Blackmore on a 100% human-powered mission.
Blackmore is a peak whose northside can be viewed from just about anywhere in the city limits of Bozeman, MT, and is a renowned mountain for backcountry enthusiasts. During the mud season in April to May the canyon road that leads to the trailhead is closed to motor vehicles. So, the only way to access the area is by bike and the Made in the USA SAGE Storm King makes for a fast and fun option!

Sage Titanium offers Campagnolo Ekar 13-Speed on their Gravel Bikes
This morning Campagnolo announced their 13-speed gravel groupset dubbed Ekar and similarly, brands rolled out their build kit offerings with the new group. Sage Titanium is one of those brands and they now offer Ekar on their two gravel models, the Barlow race machine and the monster gravel machine, the Storm King. You can now build a Storm King as pictured with Ekar, a dropper, Shamal wheels, and the whole 9, err 13, for $9,500. It might not be for everyone’s budget but it sure is nice to look at! Sage’s New Powerline Titanium 29er is Tuned for a 130mm Fork
When it comes to a hardtail, it’s hard to beat one made from titanium, especially with all the boxes checked. The new Sage Cycles Powerline 29er features all the modern accouterment you’d expect from a modern bike, with a head tube angle of 67.5º, a seat tube angle of 73.75º and 50mm of bottom bracket drop, the Powerline is meant to be a nimble race bike, a bikepacking rig, or just your daily go-to mountain bike. Other details include 2.5″ 29er tire clearance, a 1x specific design with a 34t chainring, internal dropper routing, and boost spacing. ENVE has been supporting frame builders, both in the US and internationally for years now and has developed a symbiotic relationship with these artisans, who choose to put their forks, bars, and wheels on customer’s build kit lists. With this catalog of talent at their fingertips, they decided to have an Open House to celebrate not only their factory and offices in Ogden, Utah but the frame builders who choose ENVE to build out their complete bikes.

The 18 Beautiful Bicycles of the Chris King Open House
For the past few years, Chris King has opened their doors to the public as part of an entire weekend of events dubbed the Chris King Open House. This event’s intent is to be coordinated with a product launch of their new colors for the year, as well as to showcase what makes their operations tick, and to display a selection of custom bikes, built by some of their best builder customers.
the two new colors for this year: matte turqoise and matte mango.
This year, they sent out an open invite to 30 of their best builder accounts, offering up discounted pricing to them to build a bike for the show, passing on the discount to their customers. Out of those 30 builders, 17 showed up, and they were displayed alongside a Pegoretti bike, which we looked at on Friday. These bikes lined the halls of the Chris King factory, where visitors could look at their features in great detail, chat with the builders about their process, and if they were so inclined, purchase their dream bike.
I was invited up to the Open House to document these bikes for the builders and for Chris King, as well as offering up an ultimate dream bike gallery for you, the readers of this website.
